Who We Are

Kognisant LTD is registered in the United Kingdom. We build and operate AI infrastructure for developers and businesses. This policy explains how we handle your data across all our products.

What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your email address and display name (from your authentication provider)
  • Device metadata (device name, operating system, last active time)
  • Sync job metadata (timestamps, file sizes, status)
  • Usage data (API calls, token counts, compute minutes)
  • Encrypted sync blobs (temporary, deleted after transfer or 24 hours)

What We Do NOT Collect

We have zero access to:

  • Your project files or source code
  • Your conversation history with the CLI
  • The contents of your encrypted sync data
  • Any data processed locally on your machine
  • The content of conversations handled by your AI Receptionist agents

Encryption

All sync data is encrypted end-to-end using AES-256-GCM with RSA-4096 key exchange. Our servers store only opaque encrypted blobs. We cannot decrypt your data.

Data Storage

Data is stored on our cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest. Sync blobs are automatically deleted after transfer completion or within 24 hours. All data is processed in compliance with UK data protection law.

Analytics

We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how our products are used. This data is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Data Retention

  • Sync blobs: Deleted on completion or within 24 hours
  • Sync history: 7 days (Free), 30 days (Standard), 90 days (Premium)
  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable, retained indefinitely

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data (Console → Settings → Export)
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (Console → Settings → Delete Account)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability (export your data in machine-readable format)
  • Withdraw consent at any time

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in regions outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with UK data protection legislation.

Children

Our services are not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through a notice on our website.
